Jeffrey Nugent, President and Chief Executive Officer
Jeff joined Ventus Medical in May 2007 as President and Chief Executive Officer. Jeff has held a number of senior management positions within Johnson & Johnson for over 20 years in R&D, Operations, Marketing and Finance. He served as Worldwide President and CEO of Neutrogena from the time of its acquisition through the first five years of its considerable growth as a global leader in professionally recommended skin care. Jeff was also President and CEO of Revlon from 1999 to 2002. Jeff was involved with the successful purchase of the OTC drug company Insight Pharmaceuticals where he served as President and CEO. Jeff was an Operations Research/Intelligence officer for the US Army and has a BS in Mathematics from St. Joseph’s College and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Loyola University of Chicago. Philip Westbrook, MD, Chief Medical Officer
Philip is world renowned as one of the pioneers in the field of sleep medicine. Philip served as President of the American Sleep Disorders Association and a member of the Board of Directors and Standards of Practice Committee and was acknowledged by the ASDA with a Distinguished Service Award. Philip has presented over 100 guest lectures to professional organizations, was Editor-in-Chief of the Sleep Medicine Review, an editor for Sleep, a guest reviewer for Chest and an Ad Hoc reviewer for The New England Journal of Medicine. Philip was the founding Director of the Sleep Disorder Centers at the Mayo Clinic and at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Philip earned a BS and MD from Stanford University. Rajiv Doshi, MD, Founder
Rajiv founded Ventus Medical, serving as its President and CEO through May 2007. Rajiv is a Consulting Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. Previously, Rajiv was a Principal at De Novo Ventures. Rajiv is the inventor on over 25 pending and issued patents. Rajiv earned a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MSE in Biomechanical Engineering from the Stanford School of Engineering. Rajiv also earned an MD from the Stanford University School of Medicine where he was a Soros Fellow. Bryan Loomas, CTO
Previously, Bryan co-founded Broncus Technologies, a pulmonary device company and was involved with the development of the core technology for Asthmatx. At Broncus, Bryan most recently served as Vice President of R&D, Operations, and Quality Assurance. Prior to Broncus, Bryan spent five years at Origin MedSystems (acquired by Guidant), where he was advanced to head their Product Development department. Previously, Bryan spent five years at KeraVision and four years at American Hospital Supply Corporation. Bryan is the inventor on over 60 pending and issued patents. Bryan earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the California State Polytechnic University. John Fraboni, VP of Operations and Supply Chain
John joined Ventus Medical in July of 2008 as Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain. Prior to joining Ventus Medical, John worked at FoxHollow Technologies where he held the position of Senior Director of Supply Chain. Prior to joining FoxHollow in September 2004, John held various Operations and Supply Chain Management roles at Novacept, Cytyc, RITA Medical, Avocet Medical and LifeScan/J&J. He also consulted for many medical device companies in the areas of system implementation, process improvement and ISO/FDA compliance. John holds a BS in Industrial Management from San Jose State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University. Mary Gottenborg, VP of Marketing
Mary brings over 20 years of health care marketing experience to her role at Ventus Medical. Most recently Mary was with LifeScan, Inc., a division of Johnson & Johnson, where she served as Director of Global Strategic Marketing, and Director of Consumer and Professional Marketing for their US glucose monitoring business. Prior to LifeScan, Mary spent 11 years with Abbott Laboratories in senior level marketing roles of increasing responsibility, including leading New Product Development for Abbott Nutrition and as Director of US Infant Formula Marketing. Mary has also held management positions with Bristol Myers Squibb, Baxter, and The NutraSweet Company. Mary earned a BA from The Colorado College, a Masters in Health Administration from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. Bill Oliver, VP of Sales
Bill joined Ventus Medical with over 20 years of sales experience, having spent the past 19 years at Johnson & Johnson. While at Johnson & Johnson, Bill worked for McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Europe, Johnson & Johnson Medical, and most recently, Vistakon. He has held a variety of different leadership positions, including National Sales Director, Director of National Accounts, Director of Category Management and Director of Sales Staff. Bill has experience with various business models, touching multiple specialties. In addition to his strong professional sales experience, Bill has experience in supply chain, channel strategy, customer marketing and category management. He holds a BA from the University of Georgia.
